Dear Dr. Kim
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity of allowing us to interview someone with so much expertise in this field. It was a great experience that was new and allowed us to both to gain more insight for our social justice project, but also experiences for later in life when interviews are important for things such as job interviews. The information that we received was very interesting and we were able to approach the problem from a new perspective because of different sources of information, and there were some things that were very interesting that we had never though of before, such as eating fast food can make you chemically addicted which had never occurred to us.
We learned many interesting things that were helpful in our project, such as the idea of social architecture which can be more helpful than drilling the information of unhealthy food into people. Alternative methods or indirect methods such as placing the healthier foods in a more noticeable place or before all the other could be more effective. This would be important because usually people will respond more favorably when they are not forced to do something, but rather to be eased into it. This is important because ultimately just educating the people about these health implications are not enough and we may need to find other ways of fixing this problem. Thank you for taking the time to prepare this information for us, and it has provided with many interesting insights and new information that we would have never thought about without this guidance.
Sincerely,
Jarrett Pace & Zhenyu Zhong
